islam worship practices
I love Islam, but……..?
I love Islam, I love my religion so much. I think it’s beautiful the way we practice, the way we worship Allah (swt). but all my love for Islam cannot change the fact that, deep down, I feel as if it is illogical to believe in religion. I’m don’t know if this makes any sense…
I don’t hesitate to put on my hijab and go out each day. I’m not ashamed to tell people that I am Muslim. and I think this may just be because I love the religion so much and I’m proud to be following it. my iman is constantly fluctuating because of the fact that I don’t know whether or not I really believe Islam is the true religion. I’ll get really good advice from sisters and brothers which will make my iman sky rocket, but then I’ll sit down and begin to think about religion and suddenly my iman will drop.
what’s going on here? does this make any sense at all?
Yes it does make sense…. thats why its good to be with the muslim group.
u believe in islam and thats why u follow the religion, u love it and u accept advices… but when u are alone… satan hunts u down… throw qs in ur heart try to see if that will work with u and make u lose ur faith…
we ALL have these … but we fight them in our mind… we reject the bad qs in our head and we say NO to everything against Allah.
what u need is to be strong and to trust Allah,,, and to know ur enemy.
taken from a fatwa where a person had a prob like urs: the sheikh answered:
Rejoice, for its consequences cannot be anything but good. By means of this waswaas, the Shaytaan tries to gain control over the believers and shake the sound belief in their hearts, and make them suffer psychological and intellectual anxiety that will affect the purity of their faith and their life, if they are believers.
This is not the first or the last time that the believers are exposed to this. It will continue so long as there is any believer in this world. The Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) also faced this problem. It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “Some of the companions of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said to him, ‘We find in ourselves thoughts that are too terrible to speak of.’ He said, ‘Are you really suffering from that?’ They said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘That is a clear sign of faith.’” (Narrated by Muslim).
He is suffering from waswaas (insinuating whispers) of the Shaytaan about the Essence of Allaah :

Practices: Mennonite Worship and Witness $12.99 “In Practices: Mennonite Worship and Witness, John D. Roth examines the traditions of Anabaptist-Mennonite worship. These practices, he argues, are part of an essential unity that transforms and renews the people of God and calls them to lives of integrity that are embodied with discipleship and mission. Roth reflects on how distinctive Mennonite practices such as baptism, communion, foot washing, and common meals extend beyond the church as a witness to the world. Practices is Roth’s third book on Mennonite life in the 21st century, following Beliefs: Mennonite Faith and Practice (2005), and Stories: How Mennonites Came to Be (2007).” |

Worship Old And New $19.99 “In the first edition of Worship Old and New, Robert E. Webber introduced an approach to worship that blended historical and traditional practices with contemporary elements. Since then, the spreading fires of worship renewal have provided opportunity for fresh consideration. This significantly revised edition is the result of Webber’s interaction with current worship trends. It is intended to be used both in the classroom and by those who want to improve worship in the local church. Now reformatted for an easier, logical approach to worship theology, Worship Old and New is divided into four major sections, addressing the biblical foundation of worship, its theology, its history, and its practice. New information has been incorporated into each section to give the reader a better grasp of the biblical themes of worship, a deeper understanding of Old Testament customs, and a solid grounding in twentieth-century renewal movements. Especially significant is a re-examination of the actual practice of worship that goes beyond the merely academic to provide a practical perspective through the eyes of the worship leader and those who worship. Well-versed in the best of both past and present, Worship Old and New, Revised Edition is a scholarly, up-top-date, and thought-provoking resource for those serious about exploring worship.” |
