gospel music genres

Music suggestions – similar to gospel?
Does anyone know a genre of music that would be similar to gospel or choir music…just less religious? I like the big voices and stong notes, but would prefer something a little less religious. Know what that genre is called? Or can you suggest some bands/artists?
One genre that is similiar to gospel in a way would be bluegrass.
