Nothing But Worship

Nothing But Worship

$17.99

“Nothing But Worship, the latest release from New Life Community Church, featuring “The Prince Of Gospel” himself, John P. Kee, continues the legacy of rousing, energetic praise anthems and stirring, heart-felt worship ballads, both of which have become synonymous with this, the most celebrated choir in gospel music. Nothing But Worship is filled with all original songs either written or co-written by John P. Kee. Kee shows why he is one of the pioneers of contemporary gospel music, and why he is still revered as one of the most phenomenal singers/songwriters/producers of our time.> The recurring themes running throughout Nothing But Worship are the very adjectives used to define its genre, praise and worship. Songs like “He’s Alive” and “Right Now Praise” render celebratory and victorious praise, while selections “Welcome,” Lord, I Want To Live For You,” “I Made A Vow,” and “Prepare Your Hearts” are wrenched with sincere worship. Kee is known for his transparent ministry and for writing and ministering songs from his heart, and this is very apparent throughout Nothing But Worship.”

Worship Old And New

Worship Old And New

$19.99

“In the first edition of Worship Old and New, Robert E. Webber introduced an approach to worship that blended historical and traditional practices with contemporary elements. Since then, the spreading fires of worship renewal have provided opportunity for fresh consideration. This significantly revised edition is the result of Webber’s interaction with current worship trends. It is intended to be used both in the classroom and by those who want to improve worship in the local church. Now reformatted for an easier, logical approach to worship theology, Worship Old and New is divided into four major sections, addressing the biblical foundation of worship, its theology, its history, and its practice. New information has been incorporated into each section to give the reader a better grasp of the biblical themes of worship, a deeper understanding of Old Testament customs, and a solid grounding in twentieth-century renewal movements. Especially significant is a re-examination of the actual practice of worship that goes beyond the merely academic to provide a practical perspective through the eyes of the worship leader and those who worship. Well-versed in the best of both past and present, Worship Old and New, Revised Edition is a scholarly, up-top-date, and thought-provoking resource for those serious about exploring worship.”

Now, More Than Ever...Worship

Now, More Than Ever…Worship

$17.99

“Joann Rosario is about to prove why the two years since “More, More, More” were well worth the wait with her sophomore release, “Now More Then Ever…Worship.” > Following the whirlwind success of her Verity Records debut, Rosario capitalized on her newfound fame and spent the time following her album’s release with a frenzied touring schedule. Gospel music fans will be delighted that “Now More Than Ever…Worship” expounds on the themes of devotion and worship for which Joann is so well-known. > As with “More, More, More,” Rosario’s talent attracts an A-list of gospel luminaries. Producing credits include mentor Fred Hammond on the stirring “Come to Jesus,” rising star Kenny “Ghost” Bell on the Latin-flecked and flamenco-tinged “Never the Same,” and Grammy and Dove Award winner Michael-Anthony Taylor for the Bobbie Mason-penned ballad “With All My Heart,” a virtual highpoint for this record rife with lush orchestration and a live string section. > Even with this impressive citation of collaborators, no contribution may be closer to Rosario’s heart than the bilingual double track of “When I Enter Your Rest/Cuando Reposo En Ti,” an opportunity for Rosario to keep it within the family with her father, the Apostle Nahum Rosario. With lyrics written by Pastor Rosario and melody composed by Joann Rosario, this mid-tempo devotional tune proves Joann’s cross-cultural appeal. “Cuando Reposo En Ti” features a unique energy, a result of its live recording at Maranatha Revival Church in Chicago, IL. Joann shines bright on this track, a homecoming for the young star at the church where her father is spiritual leader. >”

Original Prayer: Themes from the Christian Tradition

Original Prayer: Themes from the Christian Tradition

$16

“Original Prayer takes us on a tour of the some of classic styles of prayer, as developed and popularized by such figures as Teresa of Avila, Francis of Assisi, St. Benedict, Ignatius Loyola, the Jesus Prayer of the Orthodox tradition, and the worship of Taiz????????????????. All of these styles have much in common. As Lavinia Byrne writes, “Prayer is not our work. It is something the Holy Spirit does in us . . . We pray in Christ, uniting our prayers with the prayers of Jesus.” Yet each approach has its particular appeal. After looking at these classic approaches, Byrne examines the relation between prayer and music and art, and even considers the challenge of “prayer in cyberspace.” Finally, writing personally from her own experience, she writes about the role of prayer in times of suffering.”
